1) Staying within your comfort zone
To some degree I’m almost always in a state of being uncomfortable. The different between most other and myself is that I use this feeling to my advantage. I know that trying certain marketing approaches will necessitate me to venture out of my comfort zone, and yet this same action is what often produces the greatest benefit.
2) Fear of Failure
Never forget that the change of failure is possibly with any effective action. This is just reality. Most entrepreneurs avoid taking action simply to eliminate the possibility of failure. Ironically, though, this faulty login will bread no personal or business growth. Do not let failing once on a small marketing task or opportunity equate to total failure
3) Your need to be perfect.
This is similar to your fear of failure, but perfectionist thinking often causes you to avoid effective action since you erroneously think an imperfect action is completely wrong. Realize that no one on this planet is perfect, so why even try to personify it? Strive for improvement, excellence and efficiency. These characteristics are not only profitable but also humanly possibly.
4) Not making ‘effective action’ a habit
Very few people use their automatic success mechanism within them. It’s the same mechanism that allows us to drive a car or brush our teeth without consciously thinking. Start to consistently apply this unconscious thinking to your most effective success habits and soon measuring results will seem effortless.
5) Thinking you’ll look bad
Looking bad or looking good can both action killers. You see, at some point an effective person taking action lets go of their need to look good. They come to the realization that producing some result is more important than no result at all. In fact, looking bad could actually work in your favor. Your customers or prospects often respond favorability to those willing to show susceptibility, for instance through self-deprecating humor or making simple grammatical errors while speaking. In three words: get over it!
